February 4, 2017 – Permit Process to begin on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 –

The first phase of the process to obtain a change of use permit and new occupancy code will begin this Wednesday when our architects make an on-site visit. Some members of the NSPPS Board will be there. The State Public Works Board has also been invited. This phase of the process is called a “code analysis”. The code analysis will tell us what we need to do to bring NSP up to code for the proposed use. This will be followed by an application to the State Public Works Board and, finally, any enhancements or modifications required by the State Building Official. Any change to the buildings and property will also require approval by the State Office of Historic Preservation. This latest step is very good news for all of you who have worked so hard to make the preservation of NSP a reality.
